MAINE STRING TEACHERS AND PLAYERS ASSOCIATION EXISTS TO SUPPORT ALL STRING TEACHERS AND PERFORMERS IN MAINE. CURRENTLY WE HAVE MEMBERS FROM ALL OVER THE STATE OF MAINE, TEACHING ELEMENTARY, MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAMS, AS WELL AS MANY PRIVATE TEACHERS. WE HOLD A STATE-WIDE STRING FESTIVAL FOR STUDENTS AND A FIDDLE FESTIVAL FOR FIDDLERS OF ALL AGES, AT WHICH OVER 600 STUDENTS AND STRING ENTHUSIASTS PARTICIPATE. WE ALSO ADMINISTER THE SOUTHERN MAINE STRING CAMP, WHICH IS LOCATED IN WINTHROP, ME.
